The trilogy "The Bullfighters of Vasyukivka" was included in the Andersen Special Honorary List in 1979 as one of the most outstanding works of world literature for children.
The 2022 edition, prepared by Olena Maksymenko, the writer's daughter, contains new episodes that were added by the author himself for the 2004 edition. These fascinating episodes add additional depth and tension to the story about the adventures of unforgettable heroes - Pavlusha Zavgorodny and Java Ren from Vasyukivka.
