The book consists of two classic works by the prominent Ukrainian art historian Hryhoriy Pavlutsky (1861–1924): "Antiquities of Ukraine. Wooden and Masonry Temples" (1905) and "Baroque of Ukraine" (1910) from the six-volume "History of Russian Art" by Igor Grabar.
The works offered to the reader were the first art historical studies of Ukrainian wooden and masonry architecture and covered the most important monuments of Ukrainian church construction.
Special attention is paid to the monuments of Kyiv region, Podillia and Volhynia. The book is equipped with a foreword by Mr. Andriy Puchkov, modern monument-related annotations with color illustrations (Mr. Viktor Vechersky), as well as nominal and subject-geographical indexes.
