Book of Tigrolova Ivan Bagryany
An adventure novel that will help to understand the historical foundations of Ukraine's current struggle for independence and the aspiration of every Ukrainian for freedom. The work tells about the "duel" between the descendant of the glorious Cossack family, Grigory Mnohogrishny, and NKVD major Medvin, which symbolizes the struggle of good against evil, a man of light against darkness. And although evil often wins, the struggle itself leaves hope for a better future and inspires victory. Among the pictures of abuse of people, humiliation of human dignity, violence, the author draws attention to the will to life, family relationships, the eternity of ancestral traditions, the role of the individual in society, finds a place for the harmony of man and nature, and most importantly for great true love, stronger than death.
A special feature of the publication are the original illustrations by Yevhen Haruk. They became a kind of resonator for the novel's tense psychological strings, enhancing their already distinct, tear-jerking sound.
