A painting by Maria Prymachenko, which was sold for half a million dollars for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was transferred for safekeeping to the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
This is the painting "Flowers Grown Near the Fourth Unit" from 1990 - this is one of Primachenko's works dedicated to the Chernobyl tragedy.

UNESCO declared 2009 the Year of Primachenko, and a minor asteroid was named in her honor. Her drawings impressed Pablo Picasso and Louis Aragon back in the 1930s.
Historical background
During the offensive of Russian troops on February 28, 2022, a local history museum burned down in the town of Ivankiv, Kyiv region, where about two and a half dozen works by the world-famous artist Maria Prymachenko were stored.
