Seventeen-year-old Ivory is an ordinary girl. Her immediate plans are to survive high school and, hopefully, win a scholarship... But suddenly, an unknown Tobias Hawthorne, a billionaire, after his death, declares her the sole heir. Who is this Mr. Hawthorne? Ivory has heard of him for the first time! And there is also a strange condition for receiving the inheritance: the girl must live for a year in Hawthorne House with her mother-in-law, two daughters and four grandchildren of the rich man.

Ivory shares a luxurious estate full of secret passages, riddles and codes with a wealthy family who are not at all happy about the young intruder. And Mr. Tobias' grandchildren, who grew up with the certainty that they will inherit billions one day, generally consider Ivory a con artist and even the last confusing riddle of their grandfather. And now the girl's goal is to win the game of survival in her new world of wealth and privilege, with danger at every turn.
